KonaKart is a Java / JSP / XML based solution with easy to use java APIs and a SOAP Web Service interface for the ultimate in connectivity.
The most significant new features of the 2.2.2.0 release are the addition of a JSR 168 Portlet Implementation, Customer Notifications and a UPS Shipping Module.
Support for the JSR 168 portlet specification has been added in order to allow you to run KonaKart within a portlet. The aim of JSR 168 is to enable interoperability between portlets and portals. We provide an online demo using the Apache Jetspeed 2 Enterprise Portal.
Customer notifications can now be managed through the Administration Application. You can send template based eMails to all customers; to all customers who have requested to receive the newsletter and to customers that have asked to be notified about any updates for a particular product.

If you download KonaKart from their website or some other free download site you will get everything you need to set up a shop on the Internet. You don't need anything else. You don't have to run it in a portal - the default installation runs it in the tomcat that's provided.

I'm not sure what you mean by "another script"?If you download KonaKart from their website or some other free download site you will get everything you need to set up a shop on the Internet. You don't need anything else. You don't have to run it in a portal - the default installation runs it in the tomcat that's provided.
